One Heart

"We were given: Two hands to hold. To legs to walk. Two eyes to see. Two ears to listen. But why only one heart? Because the other was given to someone else. For us to find."

Last Breath

"If I had to choose between loving you and breathing, I would use my last breath to say 'I love you'"

Wall Street

Just finished watching Oliver Stone's 1987 classic Wall Street, and I absolutely loved it.  Has me thinking about my own path to greatness and the decisions I will have to make.  Wednesday is a big day.  My first shot at IMD with one of the premier firms in the country.  Getting focused is tough.  Sometimes I still wrestle with the project mentality of the belief that I will never amount to anything.  Well time is out for that.  I Jerrell Horton, the poor boy from Brooklyn NYC, wants more in life.  I have to make a decision, and I choose wealth, happiness is relative.  I'd rather be wealthy and unhappy than poor and happy.  One may say that is a naive thought process, I say try being poor for a year.  Well I back to doing my due diligence.

Business Cards the New Currency?

I was at a networking event a the Empire State Building yesterday, and I glanced down in my hand.  Five business cards.  I looked over at my close associate and told her that I have money in my hand.  She gave me a puzzled glare as I proceeded to explain.  Living in NYC, relationships, or the lack thereof, can make or break your career.  Working on Wall Street, I understand how essential business relationships are.  One business card can translate into over 50 contacts if leveraged correctly.  So go out there, don't be shy and meet people.  You would be surprised what a simple smile can do for your career.

She has a man

Had one of the best times of my life last night.  She is smart (has a doctorate from Xavier University), funny and beautiful.  But damn, she has a man.....
